Celebrities love to endorse bottled water (see: Jennifer Aniston and Smartwater, 50 Cent and Vitamin Water, Rihanna and, uh, Coconut water) but merely recommending a brand isn't Lady Gaga's style. Rumor has it that she's going to be launching her own line of designer water, and that her recent weight fluctuations may have been part of a marketing strategy.
Apparently Lady Gaga, fresh from fights over her weight and alleged slut status, is getting ready to launch herself a line of water. So, as the Daily News groaningly puts it, just "call her Lady Agua." And apparently the weight gain story might have all been a part of her well lubricated plans? "Gaga has been at the center of a lot of attention over her weight increase," a source tells the tabloid. "Losing her weight in such a short time and launching a healthy water drink may be part of a plan."
Obviously nothing has been announced, and the Haus of Gaga ain't talking just yet, but that doesn't mean we can't ask some important speculative questions! Like: What shape will the bottle be? Will the water be flavored? Will Madonna be releasing her own brand soon, too? And where will this theoretical water be sourced from? An obscure Icelandic glacier? Or would that upset Bjork? Maybe lifelong New Yorker Gaga will follow companies like Tap'd and just sell her hometown brew?
