Midtown institution Carnegie Deli shut its doors at the end of 2016, but one neighbor is still celebrating the classic noshery: La Esquina Taqueria is now offering special pastrami tacos.
The midtown offshoot of La Esquina has the "Carnegie Special" on its menu for the month, with plans to extend if it proves popular. The pastrami is accompanied by chipotle mustard, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickled Fresno chillies, dill and toasted caraway seeds, atop an organic corn tortilla. One taco will set you back $4.25.
