It's the return of outdoor market season, with two big eat-and-drinking fests—Smorgasburg and LIC Food & Flea—both in full swing. This Saturday, Manhattan's Hester Street Fair also makes its 2017 debut, returning for its eighth season in Seward Park at Essex Street.

The Market returns with a new mission to "empower pursuits of passion" amongst the communities of the Lower East Side by showcasing "gutsy small business launchers." That includes vendors like Macaron Parlour, Osaka Grub and Don Don NY who got their start the HSF, alongside new vendors launching this year like Pilot Kombucha. Other food vendors for the 2017 season include Campfire Cannoli, Bang Cookies, Pels Pie, Mama Lam's and others. You can check out our full review of last season's Market here.

Also returning this year are the Market's popular themed weekends, including things like a Wellness Weekend April 29th and 30th, a Coffee Cold Brew Throwdown on June 24th, the Ice Cream Social on July 15th, and an Oktoberfest Homebrew on September 30th. See the full lineup of events here.

Hester Street Fair runs Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.—with openings on select Sundays—at the intersection of Essex Street and Hester Streets.
