A Harvest Fest takes over 14th Street Park in the Meatpacking District on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly (and dog-friendly) event will feature fun activities and food from Ample Hills Creamery, High Street on Hudson, Dickson's Farmstand Meats, Megu, The Standard Grill, and other spots for both sale and sampling. There'll also be a dog costume competition to watch, plus a "dog blessing ceremony," whatever that means.

In McCarren Park this weekend, GrowNYC is throwing its own Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be pumpkin painting and live music amidst the Williamsburg mini Greenmarket that sets up there on Saturdays. There'll also be an apple cider donut eating contest at 11 a.m., with fresh apple cider provided to contestants participating.

Listen to rising opera stars while nibbling on Brioche French Toast and Benedict Royale at the Sunday brunch at the Metropolitan Opera. The Grand Tier Restaurant will offer a $45 prix fixe menu of an appetizer and entree, plus endless Prosecco Bellinis. It's the first time the brunch is open to members of the public and takes place underneath the Met's famous Swarovski chandeliers, for added curb appeal. A portion of the sale benefit the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.
