Puerto Ricans celebrate the holiday season with a chilled drink called Coquito, a rich cocktail made with egg yolk, coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk. This evening, get to know the drink a little better at the International Coquito Masters NYC Finals, where one NYC area Coquito Master will be selected to represent the region at the Northeast Championship Competition. From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight, join Brooklyn Beep Eric Adams in selecting the winner from this year's crop at the free event at Brooklyn Borough Hall.

Williamsburg's NY Distilling Co is making a push for the Three W's: whiskey, waffles and workshops with a hands-on drinking and DIY coaster class this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Roll up for sips of their bronze booze, a nosh of some syrupy waffles and learn how to make two different types of coasters, one from cork and another from rope. As we're getting down to the wire for thoughtless Christmas gifts, they'll have a wrapping station on-hand to make it even easier to gift your creations to Great Aunt Sally. Tickets are $27 and include one cocktail, waffles pus toppings and the two fruits of your coaster-making labor.

Nothing says the weekend like Large Format Cinnamon Bun, so trek to Quality Eats on Greenwich Avenue for the artisanal Cinnabon experience plus other new brunch dishes the restaurant is debuting this week. Savory options span poach, fried, hard boiled and other egg options plus a Patty Club Melt ($17) and a Michelada for Two featuring housemade spice mix and an extra large bottle of Corona.
