The Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg team know a thing or two about pleasing a crowd and that's exactly what they'll aim to do at their newest venture Berg'n, a year-round beer and food hall finally opening on August 27th in Crown Heights. The crew have been dangling the concept for over a year now, slowing releasing more details of what wonders would lie behind the brick walls. We knew there'd be food, we knew there'd be beer and now we know it all.

The cavernous space pulls in the sleek, no-frills architecture that's become a popular style for large scale drinking and eating establishments. Enormous communal picnic tables make up most of the seating, with additional tables and wall bars on which to perch. For those who regularly feel rocks poking their butts while sitting on the concrete slabs outside Smorgasburg, this is a serious upgrade. There's outdoor seating as well in the adjacent courtyard; be prepared to employ military tactics to snag one.

The food stations occupy one end of the massive indoor space, which also houses a full bar and a coffee/pastries/ice cream station in an adjoining section. The four main vendors are familiar faces from East River State Park, including Asia Dog, Ramen Burger, Mighty Quinn's and Pizza Moto Slice Shop. Each have some fresh offerings, including ramen fries from Ramen Burger, a Buffalo Chicken sandwich from Asia Dog and square pies from Pizza Moto.

The drink menu includes a Garrett Oliver-curated beer list that boasts some local favorites (Sixpoint Sweet Action, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace) and other brews including a Uinta Baba Black Lager from Utah and a Peekskill Simple Sour. In addition, dozens of beers by the bottle and can; there's no PBR (yay!) but you can nab a bottle of Bud. They've got a stocked liquor selection as well, plus red, white and sparkling wines.
