What's the difference between the pink French variety and our good old white garlic from the U.S.? Other than its obvious pink color, it is less pungent, a bit sweeter and lasts a lot longer in storage than the white variety.
Gothamist tried the pink garlic in a few different ways - in a garlic soup and satueed with a few other ingredients with pasta. It was very nice, but not sure it was worth the $5 for a bag of 6 heads. Have any of you tried pink French garlic?
