Gothamist has only recently begun to appreciate the fresh muscat grapes that come into market each spring. The Muscat commonly appears in market as a raisin, but better yet as an excellent dessert wine. The sweet yet musky flavor of the fresh grapes are great for enjoying as a frozen snack, garnishing a cheese plate, adding to a salad, or even as a sauce for tuna or a white fleshed fish.
You can find Muscat grapes for $4.99/LB at Garden of Eden @ 7 E. 14th St or at Fresh Direct.
