Now that the four-day weekend is coming to an end, it's time to prep for a week full of sumptuous food events that may or may not rival your Aunt June's dry Thanksgiving turkey situation.

On Monday, Great Performances is hosting their 5th Annual Latke Festival, held at Metropolitan Pavilion. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features a bevy of latkes from local eateries like Mile End, Veselka, Dough and The Vanderbilt; tickets are $55-$110 and can be purchased online.

On Wednesday, ale fans can learn about global craft brews at the New York Beer School in Midtown's Intro to Beer tasting class. You'll get to sample different brews from around the world, and you'll also be treated to different snacks to see which one pairs best with your pint. The class kicks off at 6 p.m. and runs $75-a-seat; you can reserve your seat online.

And on Thursday, there are two foodtastic events to tempt you. First, the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) in Little Italy is launching its first food series from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring food entrepreneurs Jason Wang of Xi'an Famous Foods and Lou Di Palo of Di Palo Selects. Wang and Di Palo will participate in a panel discussing the success behind their family businesses, and following the panel, participants can feast on tasty cultural delicacies. The event is free, but be sure to RSVP via email at programs@mocanyc.org.

Also on Thursday, the NYC Brewers Guild is holding a fundraiser for the annual NYC Beer Week at the Brooklyn Brewery from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. A $40 ticket gets you unlimited access to tastings of offerings from local beermakers, including City Island, Sixpoint, Heartland, KelSo, Brooklyn Brewery and Bronx Brewery. You can purchase your ticket online; tickets benefit the 6th Annual Beer Week, which runs from February 21st to March 2nd next year.
