The good times go on at Grimaldi's! Though the beloved coal-oven pizzeria in Brooklyn was supposed to have closed up shop and moved next door earlier this week—what with their lease ending—that has been postponed for the time being, as you can see from the photo above, taken just after noon today.
According to an employee the restaurant has gotten a temporary extension to stay put while it awaits approval for its new coal oven in its new digs at 1 Front Street. They wouldn't tell us when the move will now take place—which makes sense since the restaurant's PR team doesn't seem to know either. So, if you want a last taste of the pies out of Grimaldi's famous oven (before it gets taken over by its original pizzaiolo Patsy Grimaldi), now would be the time to head to Brooklyn.
