On Wednesday, celebrate the birth of Scottish poet Robert Burns at two different NYC bars. At Analogue they'll be pouring a special Scotch flight ($40) featuring a Highland single-malt Dalmore 12 Year, Balvenie 12 Year Doublewood from Speyside, and the heavily-peated Ardbeg 10 Year from Islay. In Bushwick at The Rookery, it's all about slam poetry and Scotland's greatest exports: scotch and haggis. Show up in a kilt and score a free schooner of Belhaven. The festivities begin at 8 p.m.

Observe Australia Day on Thursday with a five-course prix fixe dinner at Burke & Wills Australian Bistro on the Upper West Side. Available beginning at 5:30 p.m., the feast includes a choice of dishes including Truffle Burrata, Australian Lamb Rack, Cavatelli with a broccoli rabe pesto, and Pavlova. The dinner costs $65 for just the food or $105 with an all Australian wine pairing.

There are two events supporting Planned Parenthood in the city this week.
