Yes, it's true. Girl Scout Cookies, the innocent childhood treat, are now being whored out to the glitter-and-sparkle overlords at LipSmacker, who are turning the cookies into a sick, sticky-sounding lipgloss.
The abominable glosses come in Thin Mints, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Trefoils, Peanut Butter and Coconut Caramel Stripes flavors, and were actually announced way back in August, but they're just hitting the Walmarts and Claire's now, perhaps as some sort of misbegotten sugar-fueled Halloween tie-in for the kiddos.
The cookie-flavored gloss joins a variety of other nauseating flavors on the shelves—some preliminary research lead us into a deep hole of food-flavored beauty products, including, but not limited to: Paula Deen's butter-flavored balm (tagline: "Put a little South on your mouth!"), Michele Bachmann-approved corn dog balm, and Snooki-sanctioned dill pickle chapstick. Is this some sort of new dieting fad, wherein ladies slather their lips with the flavors of forbidden treats in lieu of actually consuming them? In the immortal words of Frank Zappa: Grody.
