In case you missed it, or just as a nice little reminder...grab those dollar bills and head on down to Chinatown for the 2005 Taste of Chinatown. From 1-6 this afternoon, 50 restaurants will offer $1 tastings of various Asian dishes. The tastings are at restaurants on Mott, Mulberry, Baxter, Bayard, Pell and Mosco, all close enough to stuff your face 50 times in that five hour time span.
The map (handy PDF here) has handy boxes so you can check where you've been. Eaters can vote for their top three to determine The Best of Taste of Chinatown. Unfortunately, we don't see that pancake lady on Mosco St as one of the stops. Gothamist certainly misses her.
We'll be uploading some photos later in the day and wonder if anyone will be eating at all 50 places. What are you excited to check out?
