Frites 'n' Meats, the much-loved food truck that exploded in a terrifying propane accident on the West Side Highway last spring, say they're just about ready to hit the road again with a rebuilt truck next week. Burgers and frites for all, hoo-rah!

The rebuild "Yellow and Orange Burger Love Palace" (their words, not ours) is aiming to hit the streets this coming Monday, according to the truck's blog. No location has been set as of yet but expect updates via the Frites 'n' Meats twitter, which promises "FiDi and SoHo for sure." "We have been working diligently to get Frites'N'Meats back on the road before the summer is over so we can enjoy some of it with you....we miss you all very, very much!" the brothers Hiassam, Ali and Moody Beydoun write on their blog.

The truck, which is the subject of today's New York Street Food vendor profile, was an early mobile eats success story, serving up locally-sourced burgers and fries for nearly two years prior to the accident. It remains to be seen how they'll fare in the newly hostile environment for food trucks, though they do plan to set up shop at the soon-to-open private food truck court in Long Island City. And how can you not root for any company that signs their notes "With much Burger Love"?! Welcome back, Frites 'n' Meats.
