The California-based solar power company Sungevity is trying to spread the gospel of solar power around the Northeast, and they're doing it with free frozen desserts. Today they're rolling around NYC in a bio-diesel truck equipped with large solar panels; the panels don't make the truck go, but they do fuel iPads that you can use to learn about their solar power and Sungevity's free "iQuote," which lets customers get a free quote on how much it would cost to get panels installed.

It's a marketing stunt, but at least it's promoting renewable energy, not just sex toys. And hey, free ice pops! The truck is stocked with 2,000 "GoodPop All-Natural Frozen Pops," in appealing flavors like Watermelon Agave, Cold Brew Coffee, Hibiscus, Soy Coconut, Mango, Strawberry and Banana Cinnamon. You can get some today until 3 p.m. outside Grand Central Terminal between Vanderbilt Avenue & Lexington Avenue, and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on 6th Avenue between 41st & 42nd Streets. The truck will also be around tomorrow; check their Facebook page for locations.
