Hey ladies! Looking to go out after work but don't want to buy food? Robert “Toshi” Chan will plump you up. Starting tonight, and continuing for the foreseeable future, Toshi’s Living Room & Penthouse in The Flatiron Hotel on 26th and Broadway is giving out free tapas to those with tatas. Guys thinking they can grab a freebie, think again: You will get shot. Sorry, buy shots. They will make you buy shots.

According to Chan, "If a guy is caught eating the tapas, my Toshi referees, also known as Toshi-ettes, will issue a penalty!" And that penalty will be buying booze—presumably for some of the women already enjoying free drinks. "This is a fun way to attract a young, professional crowd looking for a place to unwind after work. Hard working women deserve more than free peanuts or chips at the bar, and men can enjoy the company of women. Both will enjoy the magnificent venue and live music. It’s ladies’ night every night at Toshi’s Living Room & Penthouse!" Lesbians are going to love this joint.

Somehow we suspect that this deal might not last too long, what with renowned ladies-night haters like Roy Den Hollander lurking among us. So here's what we know: The freebies start going out, passed app-style, tonight at 6 p.m. on the Mezzanine level and should be available "all night" (or, more reasonably, when chef Jordy Lavanderos is done or not suddenly is too busy). The menu, which includes options like Russian salad with tuna and Spanish mini tortillas with scallions and chipotle aioli, in theory will be available seven nights a week. Meanwhile, if you must pay for food, they've got a full menu [PDF] on hand too.
