With temperatures expected to reach a balmy 48 degrees tomorrow, it's a great time to indulge in some free ice cream at a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Social at the Wired Store on 14th Street. It's the second ice cream happy hour this month, running from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; score gratis icy treats, of course, and play some vintage video games just like you used to after school. There's also a chance to win a year's worth of free Ben & Jerry's; Merry Christmas to you!

Nobody minds a freshly baked batch of cookies this time of year but what if your baking abilities aren't quite up to snuff? Luckily Amy Noelle of Sugar Flower Cake Shop leads a Holiday Cookie Class on Saturday where you can cut out, bake and decorate your very own sugar cookies. They'll have lots of cutters on hand including seasonal shapes like snowmen and snowflakes; design staff from the bakery will also be on hand to make sure everything looks beautiful. You'll have two hours to complete your creations, beginning at 5:30 p.m.; registration is $60.

The LIC Flea powers down for the season after this weekend so Queens locals looking for a last minute gift or a tasty snack should head to their indoor digs at 5-25 46th Avenue. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday you can score antiques, jewelry, scarves and lovely stationary to write all those Christmas thank you cards. Food vendors like Khao Man Gai NY (winner of this year's Vendy for Best Market Vendor), Peruvian goods from Jessy's Pastries, comfort food from Clean Plate Co. and lots of other yummy snacks will be on hand. They also have a full bar at the Flea, including local beers and wines and fun holiday cocktails.
