Does looking at all that food porn on your tiny computer screen leave you feeling unsatisfied? The fifth annual NYC Food Film Festival is here to fix you right up. The interactive fest is taking over Tribeca Cinemas from October 13-16, with a whole slew of hunger-inducing films, conveniently paired with the real-life foods they focus on. Taste what you see—that means no more watching Chocolat alone on your couch while inhaling Three Musketeers!
Highlights include the first-ever Food Porn Party, with Saxon + Parole chef Brad Farmerie promising "extreme close-ups of food" alongside bites of "extreme eats;" the Tribeca Taco Takedown, which will pit Rockaway Taco against Dos Toros and Tortilleria Nixtamal alongside the film Slacker Tacos; and a Cheers To Burgers and Beers, which pairs short films about burgers and beer with...grass-fed burgers and craft beer. Tickets range from $55 to $105 and are available here, with proceeds benefiting the Food Bank.
