The white-out Parisian pop-up picnic Diner en Blanc returns to NYC next month—but where it ends up, nobody knows (until moments before it's scheduled to start). The annual fete unfolds on September 15th at an as-yet-undisclosed public space somewhere in the five boroughs. Will this be the year they finally head to Brooklyn?

Last year, a record 5,000 picnickers and francophiles congregated in Tribeca's Hudson River Park, bringing their finest Eiffel Tower hats and elaborate centerpieces, one of which contained two live (white!) birds. Anything goes—even alcohol, so long as it's either wine or champagne—and as long as it's white. See the attendance guidelines here.

Celebrity chef Todd English is once again on board curating special dinners of some kind, while wines are sponsored by Apothic and Moët & Chandon. If you've attended a previous iteration, you'll be invited to join the registration process today, August 22nd, at noon. If you've been referred by a past attendee, registration opens at 9 a.m. on August 25th. Phase 3 registration, for the plebs who are totally new, has not yet been announced opens Tuesday, August 30 at 9 a.m. Break out the bleach while you're waiting.
