Great news for fans of delicious, plus-sized bagels: Ess-A-Bagel apparently has a new home for its Gramercy location! The bagel shop Tweeted out the news over the weekend, saying they're "just moving down the block."
This may not be a done deal, however. The man we spoke to said they were in fact moving but "haven't signed a lease" yet. A tipster "with knowledge of the situation" also told EV Grieve about the move but didn't supply any details. The blog speculates that the bagel store could move into the former Frenchman space.
The shop gave word they would be leaving their home of 39 years after being forced out by the landlord, though the latter denied this, telling us that it "takes two sides to make a deal." Here's hoping they sign a longterm lease wherever their next home may be.
