A new restaurant located inside of Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall promises not only a tasty dinner, but some beautiful live music to boot. Chef Ed Brown debuts Lincoln Center Kitchen today, bringing on Executive Chef Daniel Anconetani to run the kitchen at the seasonal American eatery. The duo are executing classic salads, roasted meats and Brown's noted finesse with seafood, all soundtracked by the music of the NY Philharmonic, which performs upstairs in the same space.
On evenings when the orchestra plays, the music will be piped into the restaurant's dining room, including an upcoming performance of Mahler's First Symphony, plus an evening of Italian cinema themes with performances by Joshua Bell, Renee Fleming and Josh Groban. While the performances unfold, opt for snacks like Deviled Eggs with caviar, Chicken Liver Mousse with rye crisps and one of the restaurant's cocktails, like the French 65 with solbeso, vanilla honey and champagne.
Larger starters include a Smoked Salmon Wedge with green goddess dressing and fresh horseradish and a Wild Mushroom Popover with fresh herbs. For the main course, a Spaghett-Spaghetti dish combines whole wheat pasta with ribbons of carrot, zucchini and yellow squash with a sprinkling of aged pecorino. Meaty entrees include a Short Rib Burger with New York State Cheddar, a Creekstone Farm Prime Rib with roasted heirloom carrots and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with a mustard sauce.
