Eat Cetera: DBA Beer Benefit For Ray Deter, Hotel Chantelle's Roof, Sky Foods In Flushing

Ray Deter (via d.b.a's Facebook)The memory of Ray Deter, much-loved owner of beer-geek haunt d.b.a who died last month after a cycling accident, lives on next week at a benefit hosted by d.b.a Brooklyn to honor Deter's memory and raise money for his two son's college funds. The August 1st event, dubbed "A Toast To Ray," won't be a somber affairâexpect to chow down on a whole pig, raw oysters, and mountains of bread of cheese from the likes of Fette Sau, Jimmy's no. 43 and Tchoup Chop; plus, of course, beers from local breweries like Sixpoint, Saison Dupont and Kelso.
