Another win for the DUMBO dining scene, this time courtesy of The Smile, which is expanding with a second mini location, Smile To Go Dumbo inside the Empire Stores development.

While many of DUMBO's fancy new offerings cater to a sit-down crowd, Smile will be a good amenity to picnickers and the working stiffs in the neighborhood. Chef/partner Melia Marden devised a menu of healthful breakfast, lunch and dinner options, with a special focus on three types of rotisserie chicken, available in classic, mustard thyme and harissa honey flavors.

Breakfasts will consist of things like granolas, oatmeal, and egg sandwiches, with a sandwich operation over lunch and dinner consisting of things like chicken salad and manouri cheese and pear. The daily menu will switch up with different kinds of salads, roasted vegetables and grains.

A bigger bakery than the Howard Street sibling means lots of cookies, breads, scones, muffins and biscuits, too.
