Temptations for culinary connoisseurs abound across the five boroughs, from Zabar's to Murray's Cheese Shop to the Sullivan Street Bakery. But, there is something to be said for the gourmand that wants to reflect their fashion sense along with their food sensibility. For this unique creature, for whom Cynthia Rowley is as important as Nebbiola d'Alba, Gothamist suggests a trip to one of the city's outposts of Fishs Eddy.

For the fashonista, who needs a foodie fix in-between the glitz and glamour of the tents at Fashion Week, they offer a tablewear set designed by the aformentioned Ms. Rowley. In addition, the stores are choc-a-block with vintage tableware, glasses and cutlery, as well as whimsically themed china patterns ranging from the 212 skyline to Polynesian hula girls. And, what well-heeled Wall Streeter wouldn't want a platter featuring a ticker tape design? Gothamist has to wonder if a Kings County inspired pattern will be next on the list, with the newest Fishs Eddy store set to open this fall on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. If so, we hope they decide to forgo images of two-headed fish in the Gowanus Canal.
