A New York Post "exclusive" brings word that super chef David Chang has signed a lease to be a restaurant tenant in the newly redesigned Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport. A letter to shareholders this morning from Hughes Corp. CEO David R. Weinreb included a line about a "dynamic new restaurant concept," which has been revealed to be Chang.

There's not much in the way of details regarding the eatery, but the Post has a source that says it'll be a sit-down concept in Chang's Momofuku eateries—which include everything from the lauded Noodle Bar to his latest, Momofuku Nishi—not quick service like his Fuku fleet.

Chang's had a very busy year or so, from the Fuku and Nishi openings to the launch of his new delivery concept Maple. He's also opening a delivery-only restaurant this spring.
