Greenpoint welcomed another international eatery on Monday with the debut of Cozinha Latina, which offers Latin American dishes turned out by Brazilian-American chef Shanna Pacifico. Dishes of varying sizes, including tapas-like bites and larger format dishes meant for sharing, are served in a cheery space decked out with plant life and wall art by Brazilian graffiti artist Pixote. At the bar, cocktails by Brett Helms, who you may know as the mind behind Uncle Boons' unique drinks.

While sucking down Cozinha Caipirinhas and the dope-looking Coconut For Two (served in a whole coconut), snack on a 6 Minute Farm Egg ($6) bathed in cumin brown butter, Chicken Croquettes ($8) stuffed with creamy catupiry cheese and Chilled Mussel Crostini ($9) with rich saffron aioli. In the dining area, tuck into bigger plates of Frango A Passarinho ($15), a fried chicken dish redolent with garlic and herbs, or tender hunks of Wagyu beef in smaller or larger portions of Picanha ($24/46).

The bar and dining room on the first floor are now open nightly for supper and drinks, and later this fall a second floor lounge will also open up. Expect more special cocktails upstairs, plus live music and art.
