Fresh off opening a rooftop bar in NoMad, chef Dale Talde and his Three Kings Restaurant Group debuted another aerie this week atop the Hotel 50 Bowery, a schmancy new Chinatown hotel. It's been a very busy year so far for Talde, and like the multiple concepts he opened at the Arlo hotel, he's got a slew of new bars and restaurants opening at this Chinatown spot—starting with the rooftop.

Given Chinatown's low skyline, the views afforded from the 21st floor are pretty spectacular. Two large decks on different sides of the hotel offer dramatically different vantage points for award-winning Instagrams. One deck faces southernly, with views of the top of the Brooklyn Bridge, East River, and Financial District; the other faces north to Midtown and west toward the Hudson for splendid views of the sunset.

An interior lounge connecting the two decks serves house cocktails—Black Dragon, with Elyx vodka, oolong tea, green tea, spiced calamansi, for example—a seasonal "Slush" cocktail, beginning with a Lemon Lime Rickey; plus beer, wine, sake, soju and non-alcoholic mocktails.

Later this year Talde and team will open a restaurant, Rice & Gold, and a basement lounge, The Green Lady, inside the hotel.
