On Tuesday, New York City will finally be blessed with 1,760 calorie desserts when The Cheesecake Factory opens its first restaurant in the five boroughs. Located in the Queens Center—not to be confused with Queens Place, a similar, smaller mall right next door—the restaurant looks exactly like other locations elsewhere in the USA. There's the labyrinthine seating, the army of staff (they've employed 285 people for this location alone), the tempting cheesecake case just beyond the host's station, which you'll become intimately acquainted with suffering the chain's notorious waits for a table.

The robust portions—seriously, that is too much food!—and equally hefty menu are also in full effect, with classics like the Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp and cauldron-sized bowls of cream-sauced pastas. As a chain restaurant, Cheesecake Factory is obligated to post calorie counts on its menus; try not to read the fine print if you plan on enjoying your dinner (and dessert).

When it opens, the restaurant will seat about 190 for lunch and dinner.

The Cheesecake Factory is located inside the Queens Center at 90-15 Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, (718) 699-1212; cheesecakefactory.com
