Thanksgiving is finally upon us, but that doesn't mean you have to spend the week eating nothing but turkey and cranberry sauce. This week's Thanksgiving-ish food events feature a Grecian feast, a Black Friday brunch, and some creative takes on a turkey dinner:

The Federal (Black & Steil)

If you want to pregame your Thanksgiving feast, The Federal Williamsburg has a week-long Thanksgiving menu beginning on Monday with eight appetizers, five entrees, and two desserts. Selections include artichoke and leek soup ($8); cider-braised pork rib with habanera salsa ($10); fried turkey legs stuffed with chicken pate, sweet potato hash, and suck sausage ($22); and gnocchi with Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, chantrelle, and parmesan ($20).

On Thursday morning, Jams is having a Thanksgiving buffet brunch. Their Sixth Avenue location means you can catch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as it passes by without having to stand outside in the cold. The extensive menu includes spiced French toast skewers, Kossar's bagels, and crab cakes with hollandaise. They're also hosting a Thanksgiving dinner with a prix fixe menu ($75) that includes butternut squash soup, roasted turkey breast, and pumpkin panna cotta. Reservations are suggested for brunch and required for dinner—you can make a reservation here.

If you're looking for a Thanksgiving dinner that's more interesting than your usual turkey-and-stuffing feast, head to MP Taverna's Astoria location on Thursday. They have a few different offerings for the holiday: a three-course prix fixe meal ($40), an a la carte option available by reservation between noon and 6 p.m., or a takeout feast that will serve eight to 10 people. They're also offering delivery via Seamless, Grubhub, and UberEats. Make a reservation here or by calling 718-777-2187.

Pastificio & Vino Smoked Spaghetti Carbonara (Michael Tulipan / LaRina Pastificio & Vino)

If you're not in a food coma after Thanksgiving—or not in the mood for turkey leftovers for the rest of the foreseeable future—check out LaRina Pastificio & Vino's Black Friday brunch. From noon to 4 p.m., the Fort Greene restaurant will be serving up brunch dishes like baked eggs in tomato sauce; Santo Fugo, poached eggs with Portobello and beech mushrooms; and Deviled Burrata, burrata stuffed with eggs, capers, cornichons, paprika, lemon, and olive oil.
