Germany's Oktoberfest may have come and gone, but there's still time to get your German jollies even if you missed that flight to Munich. Head up to Hostelling International's castle-esque Upper West Side headquarters (yes, there's a hostel in NYC, and they throw surprisingly good parties) this Saturday for their Hostelberfest celebration of beer, brats and brass bands.

Learn how to scream "Chug!" is six different languages with your newfound international friends in the Hostel's giant outdoor patio-turned-biergarten (fun fact: it's the largest private patio in Manhattan), which will be filled with a selection of locally-brewed, German-inspired microbrews curated by Dive Bar NYC's Lee Seinfeld. There will also be brats (and veggie brats) on the grill, plus live music from "Balkan sound machine" Raya Brass Band. The all-day party (it runs 1-10 p.m.) is totally free and open to the public, so strap on your very finest drindl and go make some worldly new friends.
