As you already know, this Friday is Festivus (Observed). It's also the last day of business this year for the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop in the East Village, and they'd like to to offer you the opportunity to Air your Grievances while getting a last lick of Salty Pimp at the same time.
On December 22 and 23, the store will be hosting a two-day Festivus celebration, complete with a brand-new Festivus Miracle Cone—"Don’t get too crazy now, it’s really just vanilla ice cream dyed green and covered with red sprinkles. After all, Frank Constanza would certainly find rainbow sprinkles 'distracting,' so we’re simplifying things in his honor," explains the store. All the proceeds from the Cone (plus cone-free donations, and all tips) will benefit New York Cares winter programming, including their Winter Wishes toy drive and 23rd annual Coat Drive.
There store will also be running a webcam, open to all, so you can Air your Grievances with friends and family near and far. "We have invited some peculiar people to air their grievances on our cam, so watch from home," says the store. "It could be quite disturbing." Finally, customers are invited to show off their Feats of Strength, though the shop requests that you please not break anything in the process. [via Fork in the Road]
