The city is surprisingly jam packed with pickle events and festivals, but none are as expansive as the Lower East Side Pickle Day. This year marks the 11th anniversary of pickle pushcarts storming through the LES for a family-friendly chance to celebrate all things salted and cured.

LES Pickle Day will be taking over Orchard Street from East Houston to Delancey Streets on Sunday, October 28th from 12-5 p.m. The streets will be filled with pickle vendors, over 30 LES food and fashion vendors (including AsiaDog, Rick's Picks, Divine Brine, McClure's, Arirang Kimchee) astroturf, and activities such as: face painting, belly and ballroom dancing and instruction, home pickling instruction, ping pong (pickle pong?), urban croquet, badminton, DJ's (including 8-year-old wunderkind DJ Kai Song) and more. Check out the full event list, and list of participating vendors, here.
