Darling restaurant and casual live music venue Cafe Moto is no more. The Williamsburg spot's last night was July 30th, according to Facebook, when they welcomed some jazz musicians from their early days.

The charming restaurant, which occupied the triangle of Broadway and Hooper Street for the past 14 years, was owned by John McCormick, a restaurateur and interior designer who also owns St. Mazie in Williamsburg and designed the interior of Flemish brasserie Witlof, also in Williamsburg.

Though this current incarnation of Moto is gone, the restaurant's website promises a "new venture" coming sometime this fall. It's unclear whether this will be a new restaurant within the Moto space or somewhere else in the neighborhood. Ownership for Moto did not immediately return a request for comment.
