Back when I lived in Bushwick and actually went to brunch, my favorite spot was Cafe Ghia. I loved that tiny restaurant so much I promptly ruined it for myself by including it in a couple of Best Brunch roundups, contributing, I assume, to the 2 hour-plus waits I started suffering in 2013. Anyway, Cafe Ghia was great and soon it will be gone. So it goes.

The co-owners of the six-year-old Irving Avenue eatery announced in a Facebook post today that Cafe Ghia will officially close on April 30th. "It is a bittersweet change for both of us, who are moving on to new chapters in life," Anna D'Agrosa and Scott McGibney said in the statement, which you can read below:

McGibney also owns popular Bushwick coffee shop Wyckoff Starr, which will probably be replaced with a Starbucks soon or something, who knows!
