Champs Diner, a popular vegan restaurant in Brooklyn, was burglarized early yesterday morning by a thief who took thousands in cash as well as a number of tech gadgets. The suspect was caught on surveillance video, and now the cops hope someone can help identify him.

The burglary happened around 1:30 a.m. on February 20th. The NYPD says that suspect entered the restaurant, located at 197 Meserole Street in Williamsburg, "through a side door leading into the restaurant, and removed four iPads, a Galaxy tablet, an Amazon Fire Kindle, and two safes which contained approximately $10,000."

In the surveillance video, the suspect can be seen "rattling" a bicycle.

The restaurant was closed yesterday, notifying customers via Instagram "Morning folks 🌞 Due to unforseen circumstances, we are closed until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience 🙏 stay tuned for updates here!" (It's open today, Tuesday, February 21st.)
