Dumbo (and Williambsurg) developer Two Trees is converting its property in the Flatiron district into a playground for the blossoming tech community in Silicon Alley. As the company "[understands] the distinct needs of tech tenants," they've agreed to a deal with Dumbo-based Brooklyn Roasting Company, who will open their first Manhattan location in the lobby of the 13-story Jewelcor Building at 50 West 23rd Street. What, no Soylent stand?

The 340,000-square-foot building will be home to mostly offices in an open floor plan layout, which can be converted into smaller units; the building also contains six rentable commercial spaces. But the crowning jewel of the new development is the 11,000-square-foot common roof top space, which looks to be an excellent spot to sip a Shay Shay and discuss optimal tip-to-tip efficiency.
