In celebration of National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, the folks at Brooklyn Flea are throwing an Ice Cream Bonanza featuring over a dozen local ice cream purveyors scooping up their best flavors. Expect over 50 flavors of frozen treats from the likes of Odd Fellows, Phin & Phebes, Milkmade, La Newyorkina and Wooly's in cups, cones, cookie sandwiches and a boatload of over ice cream vehicles. The celebration kicks off at the Fort Greene Flea on Saturday and continues Sunday and the Williamsburg Flea (note: this is NOT at Smorgasburg!). Stop by between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on either day to take part.

The crack sauce dealers at Calexico are getting their hands on some eggs with a new brunch menu they're launching this Saturday. They're doing their version of breakfast tacos complete with scrambled eggs, cheese, pico and avocado and breakfast nachos, their version of chilaquiles. Also on tap: two-for-one Bloody Marys, Bloody Maria's or Mimosas to jump start the weekend's festivities.

This weekend concludes the Giglio Feast in Williamsburg and though the heavy lifting has mostly finished—except the Old Timers lift on Sunday—there's still tons of activity happening on Havemeyer near The Shrine Church Of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Typical fairground games and kiddie rides abound, as do classic Italian treats like deep fried Oreos, skewered meats and lots of sausage and peppers. Wash it all down with a frozen drink in a wacky cup, in keeping with tradition.

Chow down on all the great eats in Bay Ridge on Saturday at the Total Bay Ridge Immersion, a bar crawl of sorts brought to you by Brooklyn Based and Brooklyn Brewery. Pick up a $25 ticket and get a Brooklyn Brewery beer at four local pubs (Lock Yard, The Wicked Monk, Cebu, and The Kettle Black) plus a choice of lunch including either the famous Kettle Black wings, hot dogs from Lock Yard or one of the other six options. It's a chance to explore the south Brooklyn 'hood gastronomically speaking plus there are also coupons to local shops as well.
