Black Out On Halloween At Williamsburg Newcomer Cow & Clover

It seems a new bar, restaurant, barstaurant or barstorestaurant opens every day in Williamsbourgeois, but newcomer Cow & Clover's setting itself apart from the pack by pledging to get you wasted tonight. The month-old Kent Avenue eatery's celebrating All Hollows Eve by giving the costumed masses a free signature shot and a third drink on the house. Pre-mix your Hair of the Dog (and Eye of the Newt) now while you've still got a chance.

Cow & Clover opened on Kent near South 2nd in September, and they're serving up "neighborhood comfort food" crafted with ingredients hailing from Northeast farms, according to a press release. Fall dishes include wood fired delicata squash with almonds, ruby grapefruit and dandelion ($14); wood-roasted mussels with beer, whole grain mustard and spring onions ($14); and a celebrated short rib burger ($16). Cocktails, all $12, include a Chipotle Pineapple margarita, a Ginger Bull made with bourbon and housemade ginger beer, and (naturally) a "Williamsburg", comprised of rye, cynar, sweet vermouth and bitters.

Tonight's special shots are a Bloody Brain Shot (Strawberry scnapps/Baileys/grenadine) and Vampire Kiss (Chilled Vodka/Champagne/ Chambord). Dress in your finest celebrity skunk costume and let the drunk times roll.
