Labor Day might mark the end of Summer Fridays and beach season, but oyster season is here at last. And to kick it off, this Thursday W&T Seafood is hosting the second annual Brooklyn Oyster Riot at Brooklyn Brewery, complete with oysters galore and the folks who help deliver them from the sea to our mouths.

A $95 ticket ($125 if you buy them after tomorrow) gets you a sampling of over 10 East and West Coast oyster varieties, with on-hand shucking demonstrations by the oyster farmers themselves. Those farmers include representatives from Montauk Shellfish, Atlantic Cape Fisheries, American Mussel Harvesters, and Empire Oysters.

If oysters aren't enough of a draw, Brooklyn Brewery's serving up an OPEN BAR featuring 14 draft beers, wine, and other drinks to wash down your mollusks, and there'll be a full cheese and charcuterie bar on hand as well.

You can purchase a ticket online.
