It's an undisputed fact that the Port Authority Bus Terminal is the saddest place in Manhattan. It's a bonafide money pit and a Superfund for Souls, but a new bar and restaurant will hopefully allow you to forget the fact that you're about to get bedbugs on your bus ride to aunt Millie's. Beer Authority is promising 80 beers on tap and 100 bottles, as well as cask ales and growlers. And with a logo like that, we'd let it press its sudsy, hoppy boot down our throats any time.

We've reached out to the folks at Beer Authority to see when they're opening, but according to Thrillist they'll be serving the seasonally apropos Avery Maharaja on draft as well as Cigar City Maduro.

The DOB's website indicates that the space is two floors and can fit more than 200 people total, so there's plenty of room for your friends and co-workers to see you off when it's time to move back in with Mom. Thrillist also says to expect a live music, including a "U2 cover band." Prepare to RAWK to the sounds of "Wither Without U...2"
