We're smack dab in the middle of Oktoberfest, with the beer-centric celebrations set to conclude in Germany this coming weekend. There are still plenty of parties to attend and now some more ways to get your fill of brats and wursts and other Deutschland fare at Shake Shack's annual Shacktoberfest celebration, which kicks off on Friday, October 3rd and continues through October 12th.

Among the Lederhosen-busting options are a Brat Burger ($7.50), made with the chain's Pat LaFrieda patty topped with griddled bacon cheddar-stuffed bratwurst, fried ShakeMeister shallots and ShackSauce. You can also get that bacon-cheddar brat unadorned on a bun, a Bavarian Brat topped with German-style slaw or a Currywurst brat topped with fried onions and curry ketchup. All the sausages are made by Yorkville institution Schaller & Weber, who have been stuffing sausages in the neighborhood since 1937.

Wouldn't be a party without a special concrete, so the chain is offering a German Chocolate Walnut version with chocolate frozen custard, coconut-walnut caramel and chocolate truffle cookie dough for further lily-gilding. There's also a special Apfelstrudel Shake made with vanilla frozen custard, apples, caramel and spices. And finally, it being Oktoberfest, raise a special Shake Shack Bier Stein of ShackMeister Ale, available for $10 with $7 refills available through the end of the celebration.
