After a thrilling semi-final win over France, the USA women's soccer team is playing Japan in the World Cup final tomorrow. And the Village Pourhouse is ready, with a free "Red, White And Blue" shot whenever the team scores a goal for people wearing Team USA gear (reservations necessary). Also ready: The Back Nine Grill in Rochester, NY which is co-owned by the brother of Team USA player Abby Wambach. Matt Wambach told the Post, "I expect we’ll have between 1,000 and 1,500 people here to cheer her on. We actually had to rearrange the whole layout of the restaurant to accommodate the crowds — and all the television crews that want to be here."

As for Wambach herself, she discussed her upbringing to Yahoo Sports, "My brothers were athletes and I just grew up in an athletic family. My mom would lock us out of the house and tell us to go and play, we couldn’t come in even if we needed to pee - we had to go in the bushes. They would put me in goal when we played street hockey because I was the smallest and I would have pucks flying at me. There was always something going on with us, we were either playing lacrosse or hockey or basketball or rollerblading. There was plenty of space for us to play in, so that is all we did."

And if that's not enough for you, Tir Na Nog is offering free beers for every USA goal!
