Astoria's colorful collection of restaurants will be highlighted at an upcoming food festival and restaurant week focusing on the neighborhood's signature eateries. Eat In Astoria kicks off tonight with a party and food festival at Astoria Bank, where you'll be able to eat and drink dishes from some of the restaurants taking part in the 10-day celebration. Tickets are $49 per person and include eats from Marketa, Queens Comfort and MexiBBQ, plus drinks like Flagship Brewing Company and Bruce Cost Ginger Ale.

If you miss tonight's fete, there are dozens of restaurants offering special deals for diners visiting between September 19th and 28th. The neighborhood does Greek well, from the traditional Kopiaste Taverna to chef-driven establishments like Michael Psilakis's MP Taverna. Pub grub and other hearty fare is available at spots like Queens Comfort and The Sparrow Tavern; or just skip straight to drinks at craft beer bar Sunswick 35/35 or Bourbon & Vine.

To participate, get a free Foodie Pass that entitles you to special deals at all the restaurants involved. Deals vary by eatery, but many are doing special prix fixe menus for $25, $35 or $45; call in advance to confirm what benefits you'll be entitled to.
