If you aren't familiar with the funky, potent and deeply delicious details of Malaysian cuisine, your chance for a cheap introduction is almost here. Next week, for the third year running, a number of Malaysian restaurants across town (and in New Jersey and Connecticut) will be celebrating Malaysian Restaurant Week. You will not be disappointed.

For the uninitiated, Malaysian fare is heavy on spices, curry, fish sauce, chiles and noodles and is entirely worth seeking out. And to that end MRW, organized by Malaysia Kitchen, is a great bet. From June 18-24 a number of drool-worthy spots (including the Fatty Crabs, Laut, Nyonya, and Penang) will be offering three-course $20.12 dinners. And if that weren't enough a whole other bunch of restaurants (Dragonfly, Pranna, Spice Market) will be celebrating with special Malaysian menus as well. You can check out all the details here. Confused? Maybe this all will be easier to follow when presented with a techno beat:
