Most Gothamist readers (judging by county returns, about seventy-five percent) are probably feeling a little low this evening. With the wait for a resident visa to Canada running up to a year, some of you may be needing some interim relief. Gothamist is there for you, with our self-help remedy of choice: lots and lots of booze. Here's a good stiff drink we devised to get you through the next four years:
The Blue Stater
1 oz. Blue Curacao
1/2 oz. orange flavored vodka
1 oz. vanilla flavored vodka
Combine all ingredients and shake over ice. Pour into a martini glass and top with a dash of club soda. If you're in the mood for some bipartisan reconciliation, garnish with a maraschino cherry.
