New York bar institution, McSorleys, turns 150 today. One of its strengths has been how it's always open, even during the Prohibition (it sold "near beer," therefore didn't need a liquor license). Which is why its sawdust and hops atmosphere attracts throngs of New Yorkers and tourists toting their small children alike today.
