Who is this kid? I first met Zach Klein at the "Peach Pit of the blogger set", The Magician, and then I saw his photography last week at the Photoblogger 3. He's everywhere taking pictures so check your face before heading out for a beer.
Birth order (only, oldest, middle, youngest).
Two For You.
How did you get into the T-shirt business?
My buddies and I like to be funny and we love to wear to t-shirts. Upon realizing these two things, we suddenly had a good business idea.
What's the big fuss about photoblogging?
It is about the glamorization of our seemingly normal lives. Finally, average people can contribute to the glossy imagery that was once only reserved for starlets and rockstars in magazines sold at the checkout line.
The gap between professionals and amateurs is diminishing as quality equipment becomes massively affordable and the realized power of self-publishing soars. Every eager New Yorker novice can easily arm themselves with a digital camera and turn their night out with friends or their ride home on the subway into a lustrous slideshow to be shared with a potentially countless number of people.
As a newbie to the city, what do you love about New York City so far?
Concerts at the Bowery Ballroom, olive-topped pizza from Lombardi’s, and girls in SoHo on a sunshiny day.
You've been asked to host a party and the only requirement is that you must invite three New York celebrities (alive), who would you extend an invite to?
Kurt Vonnegut, Philip Glass, David Cross.
How many take-out menus do you have in your apartment?
12. Just counted tonight when I ordered chicken tiki marsala from Baluchi’s.
Where is the best place to get a cheap beer or a cheap date?
I opt for $2 mugs of McSorley’s at the Corner Bistro on West 4th. For cheap dates, I like a bowl of Pho from any one of the Vietnamese restaurants on Baxter Street. $10 for two.
It's Sunday morning; do you attempt the New York Times crossword, go for a jog or nurse a hangover?
Preferably recovering with a Chipotle steak burrito and a mango Jamba Juice. The ULTIMATE Sunday would include an episode from the O.C. (first season only, please!!!), to complete the unintentional West-Coast-Brand theme.
Who would play you in the movie, "Zach Klein"?
Michael J Fox.
