Long gone are the days of sitting on the floor in front of an Atari developing a hunched back and crippled fingers--right now, Nintendo is promoting the launch of Wii Fit, their exercise-based platform,by getting people moving in Central Park.
The all-day Wii Fit party is doubling as an American Heart Association Fundraiser and a celebration of May as National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. There are celebrity trainers giving tips and many Wii Balance Boards, which feature more than 40 physical activities, including yoga!
Head over to Central Park's Merchants' Gate (at Columbus Circle) any time until 5 p.m. According to the press release, "for every attendee who 'gets on board' for a Wii Fit demo, Nintendo will make a donation of $5 (up to $25,000 total) to the American Heart Association." Would you choose Wii's way of exercise over going to the gym? It probably has less germs.
