Labor Day Weekend is upon us, and you didn't book an Airbnb in the Hamptons yet? Well, you'll never get anything now. But perhaps it's time to open your mind—who needs a nice crisp rosé on the beach when you can eat fried Diet Coke in a parking lot? The NY State Fair is still open for business through the 7th.

Instead of dipping your lobster in melted butter, gaze at the rotating butter sculpture featuring Lady Liberty holding high a gallon of milk...

Instead of watching your amateur children try and fail to build a sandcastle, behold this sand sculpture...

Instead of riding your bicycle down the beach roads of Montauk, wind blowing through your hair, ride this exotic animal that's been taken out of its natural habitat for your entertainment...

You have a 0% chance of seeing a German juggler set himself on fire in the Hamptons, but at the Fair there's a 50% chance...

Don't forget to check out Hilby the German Juggler at 1, 4 & 7! #NYSFair

You can also check out sets from the Steve Miller Band and Nick Jonas, which you can't do at the Montauk Surf Club.

Seriously though, State Fairs are fun and cheap ($1 to $10) and even NYC Cultural Ambassador Taylor Swift enjoyed this one in Syracuse.
