In her final appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, Tina Fey paid tribute to the departing talk show host by explaining how she'll never wear a fancy dress to another late night talk show again. She said, "I dress up like this out of respect for you. And I'm not gonna" dress up for Jimmy Fallon "... that's creepy, he's like my brother," and then mocked, "I'm gonna wear like special underwear for James Corden? That's not gonna happen."
So she asked Letterman to help her unzip her dress, noting that wearing form-fitting dresses is "very hard work. I don't know if you're aware of the contraptions under here... it's almost medical."
Under the dress, Fey was wearing a bra, nude Spanx (mid-thigh Thinstincts or a similar product) and a black open-bust bodysuit that said "Bye Dave" on the front and "#LastDressEver" on the bottom.
"The next time you'll see me, I'll be doing Charades in a Slanket," Fey said.
Letterman's final show will be May 20th.
